Check your tire pressure to save money

in Reduce Car Costs

This week we continue our series on saving money on car costs.  Today’s tip: Check your tire pressure every time you fill up. You can do this by carrying a tire gauge in your glove compartment.

Under-inflated tires reduce your car’s rolling resistance, so you burn more fuel.  Also, under-inflated tires will wear unevenly, or even wear out more quickly, so you spend more money replacing your car tires more frequently.

Keep an eye on your tires, and save money.
