The Key to a Successful Savings Plan

All week we have discussed savings plans.  A savings plan is your protection for the future.  A savings plan will not work unless you make a goal for your savings plan.  Why is saving difficult?  Because it’s easier to spend than to save.

Having a goal is very important.  It’s hard to give up buying something today: that’s what saving is; it’s giving up something today, so that you can save money for the future.  But even more important than having a goal is our final tip for a successful savings plan: start today.

Many people decide they will start saving “when they have a better job” or “when they have more money.”  Unfortunately it is easy to spend whatever you make, so there is no perfect time to start saving.

If you have dealt with your debts, then start saving now.  The sooner you start, the sooner you will reach your savings goals.  Start Today.
